Art Ambassador, 350.org
Kevin Buckland is an artist and activist (“artivist”) working to integrate the arts and creative communication into the fast-growing youth climate movement. He is the Arts Ambassador for 350.org, a global grassroots network calling for science-based political and social action to combat climate change.
Kevin’s artistic tactics range from animated murals & street theater to puppetry & creative direct action. Kevin’s performances and installations have been featured inside various United Nations Climate Conferences as part of the Youth Climate Network. He has led Artivist workshops in the USA, China, Korea, Thailand, UK, Spain, Denmark, Sweden, and Germany. Through his workshops, installations and art-builds he seeks to create spaces that encourage participatory activism and foster creative dialogue and communication on climate. He believes provoking imagination is one of the best tools we have to reconceive culture.
