Anne Bevan
Joins the expedition for week 2
Anne Bevan was born in Orkney and is now based in Edinburgh, where she works as a visual artist and teaches sculpture at Edinburgh College of Art. Her work combines sculpture with sound, video and text and she often works collaboratively with people from other disciplines. Most recently she has worked on several projects, commissions and publications with the writer Janice Galloway.
Current work involves a project with a marine bio-scientist looking at microscopic organisms in relation to ocean temperature change in the North Atlantic.
Along with Elizabeth Ogilvie and Ross Mclean she has recently formed a new cross-disciplinary research project, CORE, which aims to bring together a network of practitioners from visual art, anthropology, landscape architecture, creative writing and geo-sciences.
