David Noble: consultant, researcher, writer, speaker, activist and “something of a rogue” with a crazy vision of an entire generation of young people contributing all they can in the collective response to the global climate crisis.

Longer version David Noble founded 2degreesC in 2003, and has since been described as a consultant, researcher, author, speaker, activist, artist, and “something of a rogue”. He works with partners and clients all around the world in support of leadership and innovation for sustainability. He has a crazy vision of an entire generation of young people contributing all they can in the collective response to the global climate crisis. To this end, he has worked extensively with inspire and empower young people globally.

He participated in and supported the launch of the African Youth Initiative on Climate Change in 2006, convened the International Conference of Youth in 2007, and was a keynote speaker at the Asian Youth Climate Summit in 2008.

He is a frequent writer and public speaker on diverse aspects of climate change. He has spoken to audiences across North America, Europe and Asia. For two years, he was a regular contributor to Municipal World magazine, and subsequently contributed to and co-edited the book Stepping up to the Climate Change Challenge: Perspectives on Local Government Leadership, Policy and Practice. He was trained by Vice-President Al Gore to deliver the climate change presentation inspired by Gore’s Oscar-award winning An Inconvenient Truth, and is now a volunteer presenter with The Climate Project.
