Swimming at 79 degrees North

Oh my word!!!

Keith started a very mad trend yesterday by runnning into the sea with his shorts on, he stayed in for a few seconds and then ran out straight into a bundle of towels to warm up. We all followed suit in groups and it was absolutely freezing, you went numb in seconds, I don’t think I have ever been that cold in my life, at the same time it was very exhilarating!! WOW!!! Apparently the beach we ran into the sea from is called Palm Beach, as the scientists set up trees on the bach in the summer! Will blog more later!

Cheers, Jess xxx

Blimey Jessica a bit different to swimmimg off Elba. I don’t ever want to hear you complaining about the sea being too cold again. Maybe you’ll join the crowd that go swimming at Brighton at Christmas. Glad to hear you eye is getting better. See you soon. After you’ve had 24 hours sleep, no doubt.

hi jess, your all nutters! lol sounds like a ball, every year the sturgesses and co. go to center parks as a winter treat, we play a game with the kids who can stay out of the pool the longest (mid winter ,not as cold as there though) or jumping in to the freezing plunge pool, you’ll have to ask amy, she’s usually the first in, god this sounds like a punishment???!!!, caroline x
