We hope you’re having a great time! Kaya misses you but we think she’s excited for you because when she sees your picture she starts blabbing away!
What kinds of things have you done to get ready for life on the boat?
Do some of the other students have similar concerns about Climate change… do they match yours?
Glen wants to know… have you met the Queen and how is she?
    Take care, have fun….cheerio!

    Doriana,

With you being from Chesterfiled Inlet – Nunavut, a witness to climate change, and a participating student on this awesome project, have you been able to share or teach your experiences or observations of climate change? Can you share any specific CC effects have you noticed in Igluligaarjuk?

How do you think CC will affect Inuit culture?

Last – will be be talking about your project over a cup of tea with the Prince of Whales William or Harry?! If so, send them my love!

I look forward to hearing more about you and your project…all the best!!

    Melissa Tillumaluk Irwin

PS – could you contact me to do an interview for Inuktitut magazine when you get back to Canada? Take lots of pictures. thnx

I have a few questions, there not that different, but here they are:
How is the climate different from here?
    When does spring start?
    When does summer start?
    When does fall start?
    When does winter start?
Is the temperatures different from our season?

  7. Douglas aggark Wednesday 19 Sep, 2007 // 16:19:36

What’s the climate like there and what is the difference?

  8. J-Rock Wednesday 19 Sep, 2007 // 16:21:00

    Is the water level rising?

  9. Matthew Rudkin Wednesday 19 Sep, 2007 // 16:23:03

What up Doriana? How would you compare the climate change there from the climate change here in chester?

  10. Glen Brocklebank Wednesday 19 Sep, 2007 // 16:27:47

Today the weather is really nice…it is -2C and there is no wind…how does the weather now compare to weather in chester? You know what it is like here in Sept, even though you are further north than us, is the weather and temperature the same or different?

    From the grade 5/6 class

    1) What new things have you seen so far?

    2) How was London, England?

    3) Did you meet new friends?

    4) Do you miss us? do you miss Chester?

    5) What is the best thing about your trip?

  12. Glen Brocklebank Wednesday 19 Sep, 2007 // 16:30:27

    From Jeffrey Aggark

  13. Douglas aggark Wednesday 19 Sep, 2007 // 16:32:06

Do they have the same kind of animals?

  14. Glen Brocklebank Wednesday 19 Sep, 2007 // 16:34:37

Have people in Svalbard noticed any changes in Climate? What types of changes have they noticed? Has the temperature started to increase?

Have they noticed changes in animal behaviour? Are Polare Bears being affected in their part of the arctic?

  15. Glen Brocklebank Wednesday 19 Sep, 2007 // 16:35:30

What has been the best thing you have learned or done on the trip?

    Hi Panic,

You are doing things that I only dreamed of doing when I was at your age. All your family in Coral are very happy for you.
